Ceylon Inter-continental Hotel as a trainee waiter from 1996-1998 In this position main Duties and responsibilities are Be familiar with the service of both food and beverage. Carry plates.glasses,and cutlery in a way set by the hotel management. Know all dishes served in all outlers, Menu knowledge. Know daily special and promotion, beverage including wine and cocktails. Attend all the training sessions, and signs training log book. Always maintain grooming and hygiene standard.
This position is concerned with the day-to-day supervision of the restaurant operations of the hotel and compliance with the established restaurant policies and procedures of the hotel. Reports directly and communicates with Assistant Restaurant Manager and the Restaurant Manager. Working with a multitude of concepts and cuisines to ensure that the highest guest satisfaction is delivered when it comes to Food & Beverage operations. Ensure the strong financial performance of the restaurant monitoring revenue generations and implementing promotional strategies. Be proactive in controlling the cost being fully aware of forecasted business and targeted profitability while maintaining the standards. Responsible for motivating the team to ensure a teamwork environment wide in the operation. Responsible for training and development of the team members to ensure highest level of service to the customerse. Maintain high standard of hygiene and cleanliness of the working areas at all times in accordance with the HACCP standal’ds.
With trainee waiters duties and Serving food and beverage to the guests according to service procedures in order to acquire to the customers, Prepare the guest cheques,receive payments and collect all cash and credit payment and pass room charge guest cheques to the front office cashier Provide personalized ,courteous and friendly service that exceed expectations to establishment Cross train for all F&B outlets including room service, mini bar & banqueting in the capacity. Assist supervisors F&B staff, when required. Seat and greet the guests. Always has a kind, pleasant and helpful attitude and nature, exceeds expectations of guests.
