Sanitation Operator Job in Denmark at Winona Foods
Job Duties:
The list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time.
- Disassemble, sanitize, and reassemble food processing equipment
- Clean and sanitize equipment using a central sanitation system
- Run CIP’s (Clean in Place) on production process lines and equipment following SSOP’s (Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures)
- Dispose of trash and cardboard
- Works as a team with production team members and other sanitation technicians to complete sanitation tasks
- Housekeeping duties (warehouses, breakrooms, production rooms, etc.)
- Follow Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly and Yearly sanitation processes
- Maintain a clean work environment
- Trained and able to operate the sanitation equipment and maintain its cleanliness
- Ability to effectively use hand tools, electric and pneumatic power tools
- Ability to read procedures and safety information
- Perform sanitation preventative maintenance and corrective maintenance on equipment
- Comply with GMP standards as set forth by company
- Use chemicals according to company guidelines and safe practice
- Understanding of and compliance with safety practices such as Lock-out/Tag-out, wearing of PPE, and GHS
- All other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Forklift and Scissor Lift Certification preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- A good knowledge of Current Good Manufacturing Practices and food safety
- Experience handling sanitation chemicals
- Must possess a basic understanding of math and knowledge of liquid measures
- Knowledge of various chemicals used in the sanitation process
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize
- Must be able to work in a climate that varies in temperature
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers and decimals
